- In RW, a great family visit this afternoon to celebrate Carl's birthday!  Daytona 500 got 20 laps in then rained out until tomorrow.  If we aren't gonna race, best by flyin' to Bhutan!

- In RW, an early day this morning to meet with Steve at church, and then back home for a snowy Saturday.  A great surprise... Jenn came over to work for the day!  She kept me company, or I kept her company, down in the man-cave.  Currently watching Shrek... a movie Jenn memorized as a youngster.  The whole fam-jam will be over for supper, and Lexy will sleep over.  Best kind of Saturday!

- Comments... interesting flight... frightening in fact.  Headed out of Kabul with mixed snow/rain.  Should have been a clue that icing might be possible.  At 12,000 ft over the mountains to the south, airspeed slowwwlllly started to drop.  Hmmm.  I determined straight ahead on the flightplan wouldn't work.  I would stall before I had planned to get lower and warmer.  I needed lower air to warm up, so I diverted due east toward a valley along the Indus River and get out of the mountains sooner.  I began my slow descent down to keep my airspeed at at least 100 kts.  When I got below 8000 ft and nearer zero  Celcius the airspeed started to improve.  Down to 6000 ft along the Indus River and I cruised down to OPKC with normal airspeed available.  Phew!  Oh, and the Amp Meter showed 3/4 of the range between 0 and "CHG" the whole flight, yet the AME didn't pick up a problem before or after the flight when I had it inspected.  Odd.
- In RW, off to work early, then a Dr. appt this afternoon, then home early.  Multi-tasked while I did the flight.  I'll be back in to work tomorrow to catch up.
